Diaspora Arts Connection presents the 10th anniversary of Let Her Sing®: A Celebration of Female Voices, returning to YBCA in San Francisco on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 7:00 PM.
Rooted in a commitment to amplifying women’s voices across cultures and borders, Let Her Sing was founded on the belief that music can be a powerful force for connection, healing, and social change. The series creates a platform for women artists—particularly those from diasporic and underrepresented communities—to share their stories, preserve cultural traditions, and challenge narratives through song. At its core, Let Her Sing celebrates artistic freedom, honors lived experience, and fosters a space where diverse voices can be heard, valued, and uplifted.
For ten years, Let Her Sing has brought together powerful women vocalists from around the world to celebrate artistic expression, cultural memory, resilience, and the transformative power of the female voice. This milestone anniversary honors a decade of music, community, and solidarity, while looking ahead to the next chapter of this beloved DAC tradition.
We are delighted to welcome back our amazing house band under the direction of our Music Director Yahya Alkhansa. Navid Ghaem Maghami returns as our Art Director.
The 2026 San Francisco edition will feature an unforgettable evening of live music and cross-cultural performance, highlighting artists whose voices carry stories of heritage, migration, resistance, and belonging. Through dynamic collaborations and deeply personal performances, the evening will reflect the richness and diversity of global female artistry.
Lineup to be announced.
