Third Culture Tales: Stories Beyond Borders

Third Culture Tales (TCT) is a live storytelling series and cultural platform dedicated to voices shaped by migration, diaspora, and life between cultures.

Presented in by Diaspora Arts Connection, TCT brings together storytellers, musicians, comedians, poets, and artists whose experiences span borders, languages, and identities. Through intimate live events, audiences are invited into an evening of reflection, humor, vulnerability, and connection.

At its core, Third Culture Tales explores what it means to belong when home exists in multiple places at once.

Each gathering features personal stories and performances that touch on themes including:

  • identity and cultural hybridity

  • immigration and displacement

  • family history and memory

  • language and belonging

  • grief, humor, and healing

  • finding community across cultures

Since its launch, Third Culture Tales has hosted events in Berkeley, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam, building an international community around the power of storytelling.

The series welcomes both established artists and first-time storytellers, creating a space where authentic voices and lived experiences take center stage.

Whether you identify as a third culture individual, part of the diaspora, or simply someone who values meaningful human stories, Third Culture Tales invites you to listen, connect, and reflect together.
