Every year we gather in celebration and support of the female voice, suppressed and censored in parts of the world. Let Her Sing: A Celebration of Female Voices is an event that aims to allows female artists from all over the globe to come to stage in celebrating their ability to perform freely.

Twelve female vocalists from Iran, Kurdistan, and Afghanistan performed at Let Her Sing 2019: A Celebration of Female Voices, on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at The Blue Shield of California Theater at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, along with a group of exceptional international musicians came together to celebrate the female voice; suppressed, censored, and threatened in parts of the world.

Diaspora Arts Connection proudly presented "Let Her Sing: A Celebration of Female Voices" on September 15, 2018 at Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. The show brought nineteen female vocalists together in support of women’s voices in music, threatened, censored, and suppressed in some parts of the world.
Featured artists were: Mahdieh & Nasibeh Abdollahi (Avayeh Music), Rana Farhan, Aisan Hoss (dance), Jasmine Kara, Kitka Women's Vocal Ensemble, Samira Kharoubi, Ketevan Mindorashvili, Chloe Pourmorady, Aida Shahghasemi, Mahsa Vahdat, and Dina Zarif.

Musicians: Yahya Alkhansa on drums, Daniele DeCario on bass, Basma Edrees on violin, Nima Hafezieh on piano, Sirvan Manhoobi on Oud, Josh Mellinger on percussions, Johan Moberg on acoustic guitar, Asaf Ophir on clarinet, Amelia Romano on harp, and Steven Toub on electric guitar.

Diaspora Arts Connection proudly presented "Let Her Sing: A Celebration of Female Vocalists" on October 28, 2017 at Marines' Memorial Theatre in San Francisco. Here are excerpts of performances by Abjeez, Marjan Farsad, Mima Goodarz, Mamak Khadem, Ustad Mahwash Farida, Sara Naeini, (Parnaz Partovi), Adrienne Shamszad Music, Parisa Vaaleh, Sepideh Vahidi Music Page, and Bay Area Iranian Choir under the direction of Maziar Atrian. The show brought ten female vocalists, a music band, and a choir together in support of women’s voices in music, threatened, censored, and suppressed in some parts of the world.
