Diaspora Arts Connection and Center for Iranian Diaspora Studies proudly present an intimate screening of "The Dawn Is Too Far" documentary on Sunday, June 22nd at 5:00 PM at Central Stage. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film's co-director, Dr. Persis Karim. Stay afterwards for a celebration of the Center's work as it closes down on June 30th. The Dawn Is Too Far: Stories of Iranian-American Life" is a 55-minute documentary that explores the stories of eight Iranian-Americans in the San Francisco Bay Area, highlighting their history, resilience, and contributions to the region. The film challenges the dominant narratives often portrayed in the media, focusing instead on the human stories and experiences of this community. It examines how these individuals have been shaped by the complex relationship between the U.S. and Iran, while also showcasing their artistic and political engagement.
